Darker, harder, better, stronger… I introduce you a new standard compliant Version 7. MOTH3R has come a long way from 4th version of my online portfolio. For your information I have skipped 5th and 6th versions of my designs to come up with a current one. Instead of mix of static and Wordpress pages all the data is now handled through PHP & MySQL database. Otherwise than a new layout and new information architecture there are bunch of other features. Even though some things are already there hard coded by default I customized Wordpress to my needs with a help of complementary plugins. So there is my own implementation of sidebar, post options and details, social networking share system and enabled comments for all the work and news section of the site. Navigation should not be or feel linear at all, you should be able to browse by tabs, tags, sidebar menus, post details or links in the content. I have to announce my move from Windows to Linux server based hosting as well. I can already tell a difference. It is much faster. I cannot feel a thing, the lag I was experiencing before is all gone now. What I am missing the most now are just your comments so if you wanna express your opinion be my guest.

My Final Project for HYPER ISLAND Digital Media program was a short motion video. In short, a Computer Generated Animation. Basic stages of production were: Production (Modelling, Texturing, Animation, Rendering), Post-Production (Titles & VFX: Motion Blur, Depth of Field etc.). All visuals had to reflect a mood of sterile, post-industrial age, a sci-fi era. Android is of course a center figure as already shown in some of my references. They come from various sources but visuals were something they all had in common. To mention a few: Chris Cunningham’s ‘All is full of love’ (Music Video), George Lucas’s THX 1138 (Movie), The Matrix (Cyberspace cutscene parts of the movie) to The Chanel Mobile Art (Website).

Version 4 of my portfolio has been chosen for Web Design Index for this 2008 year. A book by Günter Beer has been published by Pepin Press from Amsterdam.

Since its first edition in the year 2000, the annual Web Design Index has developed into one of the most important publications in its field. Year after year, it gives an accurate overview of the state of the art in web design. Every Web Design Index contains 1002 outstanding web pages. With each web page, the URL is indicated, as well as the names of those involved in the design and programming. MOTH3R Collective - Identity Motion piece was done for Media Temple Collection Motion Project. This animation is a result of the long production process; modelling, rendering and compositing. Nothing less important is soundtrack done by Pavao Slabinac. A great artist, which I will rather say than just a friend of mine. Motion piece is originally released on Full HD (1920×1080 px) but you can see it in smaller size 1024×576px (4mb) as well.

My motion piece is now officially part of Media Temple Collective Motion Project. Heavy influenced by organic forms shape naturaly flows to the functionality of an extension brick. Product is complete only when it is in the use, with all your devices connected. Wires were always a part of chaos we were used to but now that very same chaos is a part of the design itself.

Another Short; Native Identity Motion. It is after work - Personal Motion Experiment, not related to The Native’s Style Guide but nothing less important for me. Pavao Slabinac is responsible for a half of experience. He did a great work with soundtrack.

Wordpress with version 2.5 had a major update. Both code and design wise that popular CMS system progressed a lot. Anyway, I was still looking for something nice so I paired it with Fluency plugin. Described as a custom theme for WP administration it is great addition to what Wordpress already is. There are some other nothing less great news so head over here to read them in detail.

Two chair design. Inspired to some extent by Stanley Kubricks movie, 2001:A Space Odyssey. Simplicity and functionality, that is something. I wish more of us could agree upon “less is more” Scandinavian way of thinking and not only Sweds.

A Bag concept for both; Hi-Tech items (iPods, mobile phones) and ‘Premium’ personal belongins; (wallets, sunglasses etc.). Base materials: rubber, textile. The product is supposed to be hold with a help of strings and in the similiar way we hold American Foootball Ball. If we are emotionally connected to our gadgets, why not hold a product in a same way?
